Historic old town on the Guadalupe River, just north of New Braunfels. Gruene is comprised of a number of stores, a dance hall, and the Gristmill, the local restaurant serving famous chicken fried steak and fried catfish.

I think Gruene Hall has lots of photo ops. Everytime I have been there I did not have my camera.

Abel - Are u saying there is going to be a gathering or something going on here?

Gruene Hall would be an excellent spot for a group shoot- if we could pick up a camera afterwards.

Gruene is a great place to photo, not just Gruene Hall. But the Gristmill is good and so is the river. I was in the process of making my way throught the town when I got a phone call that my grandmother was in the hospital north of Houston, so I had to cut the shoot short. If I can find some of those pics I will post them soon. BTW granny is doing good now.

Shot these images back in 2004. Nice place to visit, get there early to find parking, specially during Market Days and weekends.
