If you are in the area visiting Enchanted Rock, don't miss driving through the Willow City Loop. It's pretty popular during wildflower season. I personally like to enter the loop from the Fredericksburg side (Hwy 16 and RR1323). The drive isn't as complex as the linked map indicates. It loops takes about 14 miles (+/-?) and reconnects back onto Hwy 16 about 6 miles north. From there, drive on into Llano and have some BBQ at Coopers. The grandest 'first view' of THE Rock is found by driving from Fredericksburg to Enchanted rock via Hwy 965.
