So I thought I'd take some of the images of "things" from Faire this year and apply some of the post processing techniques I learned at Texas School to them.... here are a few I liked...

Heheh, thanks.. do you have any idea how hard it is to catch bubbles in focus while they are in the air? LOL There's nothing for the autofocus to lock onto!

First -- I really like the hats.
Second -- I tried to do that bubble thing several months ago, and after an hour and a half of cussing and fussing, I just gave up. How do you EVER get a sharp focus on the reflections?

Thanks, everyone... the bubble seems to be popular (here and in PM).. getting perfect focus was lucky, they move pretty fast.. I shot maybe 5 bubbles to get this one.. and they were big, coming off of one of those big wands.
It was shot with my 70-200 2.8L lens, just like all the others.. caught it in air, with trees in the distance as background... I shot several bubbles as the shop owner sent them floating across the Fairegrounds.. and this was the best focus.. here is the shot straight out of camera, with no enhancements at all.. brad added 1 Minutes and 41 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below Quote:

Joe | Thanks, Joe.. I'm planning to, actually. That class at Texas School got me thinking differently and looking at things differently.
As for Post Processing techniques.. it was a week long class, so we did a lot of different things.. and its a combination of applying those that was used here. I'm not sure I could even remember everything I did to it, but it took about 15 minutes total.
