Before I left for Texas last week, the plan was for my girlfriend and I to drive both our cars down to her parent's place in Anaheim. This way I could come back to Santa Barbara before her... Of course, we put off moving the rest of our stuff to our new place until that weekend and finished just in time to make it to LAX to drop me off. So that left me with two options, stay a week longer in Anaheim or take the train to get back to Santa Barbara and do some much needed work. I ended up taking the train, anyone who follows my twitter knows that already since I was posting pictures during my boredom.
Even though I was bored, it was quite a relaxing trip, not having to worry about traffic or staying awake... On top of that, you can focus on the world around you rather than the road in front of you. I put on my headphones and just went with it.
This was my first time on a train in the USA... and the first time since I was in Europe when I was... 5ish. I didn't realize they still walked around and checked your tickets, I figured it would be some electronic system by now.
Just some random guy standing up, looked interesting...
Lots of empty chairs and window light.
Some of the scenery most of which I had never seen. When I drive down to LA or Anaheim I always take the 101 along the coast. The train goes inland for most of the trip so I got to see some new stuff.
