Red River is definitely family-oriented. My son and I have been there several times beginning when he was six years old.

New Mexico is my home state. Love your photos. Thanks for sharing. I was there this summer for a wedding. This link is photos taken in Tula Rosa NM. Tula Rosa in the south central part of the state. YouTube - New Mexico

Like your images use to live in Dalhart was not far to Taos and Red River made many trips. Definitely an area worth seeing and taking photos.

Joe, I like Taos, but if you are talking about starting young skiers out, I would not have said it would be my top pick, but here's an article I found giving you some more detail. It's been awhile since I've skied in NM, so I'm not up on what the resort has to offer now. I understand they now allow snowboarding @ Taos, which they did not before.

Paco, I really like that first one. Not only is it beautiful warm, pink light, but I like the leading lines drawing you to the last tourists, walking away - and they add to the story of the image! Looks like a great trip. Man, all this talk of snow has me pumped for this ski season!

Beautiful images. It's hard to chose a favorite due the different aspects of each image.

#5 is my favorite! Mine didn't come out as nice when we were there 7 years ago. I was shooting film then with the Nikon N90s. Love that camera...
