Good Morning from Anchorage

So, I woke up this morning and walked around the lake outside our hotel for a little bit. It's cold up here for a Texas boy, so I had to come back to put on some warmer clothes and figured I'd share some pixels while I was back at the room. Enjoy, Alaska is as beautiful as I thought it would be and I haven't gotten to wander more than a mile or so from my hotel yet. I just walked around the lake and came back to the room. We are going to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center this afternoon, so I should have some more pictures to share tonight. No pictures of anything too spectacular yet, just some float planes around the snowed over lake.

If you get a chance, go to the airport museum. You can't miss it as it has an old Navy PBY Catalina out front. You might want to get over by the Elmendorf AFB since they have a lot F-22 Raptors stationed there. They are constantly taking off and landing. If you head south from Anchorage on the Seward highway, you can see eagles in many places.

You can ride the train from Anchorage to Seward also. Lot's of photo ops there.

Or ride the train to Whittier. Eagles and many cool things to photograph there too.
