I was asked to shoot a rehersal at a local school performance. For a sports shooter, this was challenging. Thanks to all the helpful suggestions on this site, I believe I was able to capture some acceptable images. Here is just a small sampling. I have so many to go through.

Shooting Info: Nikon D700, 70-200VR, ISO 6400, No flash was allowed, -2 exposure compensation, adjusted shutter speed on the fly. Adjustments in Adobe Lightroom 3 and CS3.

Thank you. I plan to go to the performance tomorrow night so I can put the pieces of the show together. I got the gist of the show for the most part but I definitely want a wider view.

Well done. Just a tip. When you shoot silhouettes you don't need to use high ISO's. You can actually leave the ISO at 100 or 200 and adjust shutter/aperture accordingly. You don't need a lot of light for a silhouette shot.

Thanks for the tip. I hope I can remember that if the situation presents itself again.
