yeah, you would have need to have a different lens on like a 85mm f1.4. then you could have focused more directly on her. maybe just food for thought for future shots.

it was actually shot with an 80mm lens.

an 85mm doesn't exist which can be mounted on that camera. but, your point is made, I have been shopping for the 180mm/4.5 lens for some time now. passively shopping.

having the larger aperture would be what would have made the difference. a 1.4 would give you that nice blur. now an af 1.4 prime would be expensive but if you dont mind manual you could pick a used one up on ebay really cheap. i saw a 135mm 2.8 for $100~ a few days ago.

someone here uses google?? that's a new trend i could get used to.

i'm more or less talking more in this price range. deals are to be had, and i prefer to shy away from ebay deals.
