Critique: CC:

1st attempt at this type of photography. I originally was going to use a white backdrop but figured I'd play around a bit in the window instead. It's pretty bright/over exposed, but I kinda like it. :)

It was fun, still have them in my possession so I may try some more next week. CC is welcomed, any advice on "posing" the scarves? :) Thanks! Kristina

I don't know much about shooting commercial, but I like the first and third shots. I love the green and orange together, although I find the cross pieces of the window kind of distracting. Maybe a closer crop?

I think the scarf in the second photo gets a little lost in the photo. I'm sure you were trying to play with the texture, but maybe if you were closer to it? I'm not sure.

#3 might also be a little confused with a tie. I'm not sure what "poses" would be better though. Sorry for not being helpful :)

Great first attempt though!

Some thoughts:
1&3, do a better job folding. 1&2 harsh lighting. Most ADs and Clients don't like hot areas.

3 is the best IMHO. Rotate to straighten or go with a more pronounced angle. Ugly folds : ( Throw some light into the top of that knot. Stop down your lens. Nice choice of color.

Thanks for the feedback! I googled and searched on flickr for some ideas on the folds but didn't really come back with anything just by itself, most results were on models. I'll work on those tips this week, thanks again!
