Hi Suzanne. I really like the perspecive that you capture with this photo. The areas outside the bridge are blown, but in this instance, I don't think that it takes much, if anything away from the shot. In fact, in my opinion, it helps frame the subject.

I'm surprised no one else has commented yet.

p.s.: It is San Luis, not San Louis.

Thanks Tim! I tried to correct the blown out areas in PS, but they're too far gone. It was just so dark under the bridge, and I didn't have my tripod with to do an HDR. It's amazing what the Topaz did with the details in the bridge.

HAHA, I did 'know' it's LUIS, but I guess I write "St. Louis" too many times!!

Love the perspective and the "light" at the end of the tunnel. Nice work.

I think this is a wonderful shot, your angle or perspective is so good, the framing is good, and your DOF is excellent - and in many years of trying to learn more about lighting - sometimes you just can make it perfect. -- This is a very good shot.

Thank you Henry! This photo almost wasn't.... We were driving around and made a couple passes under the bridge, when I happened to look to my right and noticed how cool it looked, but I didn't want to bug my my husband to stop. But the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to photograph it, so I asked him to take me back. He is always a good sport about it.... it happens a lot!

I find the blown areas a bit distracting. I would like to see a version cropped to the edge of the first pylons(SP?) where you dont see anything on the extreme left and right. Great eye and good job on getting the perspective nice and symetrical. Thats key in these types of shots I think... I might clone out the people fishing.

Rob, thanks for the ideas. I'm going to play with it some more this weekend. I have a couple shots of this, so one of the others might crop better.

I like your picture picture! I might like to see one as Rob suggested too, with the sides cropped out of the picture.

I took a similar picture near Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
