Every year there is a Dickens Fair, much like a Renaissance fair. People come dressed up in costume to enjoy a day (or days) of a world back in the times of Charles Dickens.

I went for the first time this year.

A live model, showing the wares for a corset shop. Shooting through glass in low light is a bear.

Nice stuff...i went to one this weekend and I was so disappointed...they had it mostly indoors in an awful dark and dreary space. It felt more like a flea market. There was a little thing with a Scottish regiment out doors but they had yellow caution tape all over. Yikes a photogs nightmare!

Thanks Windy. I actually used my 580EX mounted on my camera for all but the corset shot. Yes, it was indoors, and the lighting was terribly dreary. Without the flash, I wouldn't have gotten half of what I did.
