Now I feel I captured the moment with these pics but would like to know where I went wrong or if I went wrong period. I don't know how to edit pics and am still learning on my own so help is always great. Thanks in advance

Yes they were having a blast.

Did I do anything wrong or shoot with to much light? How can I better myself besides trail and error? As of now I'm using photobucket to edit these lol. I know I need to upgrade asap

Given the harsh light I think you did well. You can tell the sun was to your right. A fill flash or a reflector may help some just to lighten up the faces and kid's right side. #2 is slightly crooked, but that can be fixed fairly easily.

I'd say in harsh light you did well!

Love these pics - so cute & memories to keep!! I agree fill light would help some on both shots. It could also be done in post processng on some programs. Nice timing on both shots.

Thanks for the help fellow members, I need to look into a flash then ASAP. I'm still learning and would l love to just go out and take a few shots with someone that could give me pointers. I could drive to compensate for the pointers lol
