That's a fun shot. Is that Taurus and the Seven Sisters?

If that was recent it was early in the am. I see Orion and it's up pretty high. That time of morning I'm not thinking so creatively. Nice work

Yeah, I think this was about 3am (last night). This was somewhere on 190, south of Texon. I only know that because I ended up there a while after, finally ending my night in Stiles shooting a time lapse of the courthouse:

OHHH... the Stiles Courthouse!!! Does Jake know about that one? I found it years ago but I have yet to shoot it.

What did you light that with?

Yeah, it's been on my list of places to hit, finally made it out there.

This was lit with a single speedlight in a soft box stage left - at about 1/16 power. I set it up to remote fire, along with each shot during the time-lapse. It worked beautifully - didn't have one mis-fire with my RF-602s. 8 second exposures with a 10 second interval - so 2 seconds of recovery time.

Haven't put everything together yet, but I shot in SRAW1, so I'll have some room for a zoom or pan too.

I've been wondering if I could use my Doug Box and pocket wizards for a time lapse. I've got a battery pack that will easily power the flash for a couple of hours. Might have to give that a try.

Awesome shots Todd! Hopefully there was no probing after that first shot was taken...

The Stiles courthouse is on my list of places to shoot, maybe one day.
Can't wait to see how the time-lapse turns out using flashes. My concern would be flicker, because flashes are not always consistent from shot to shot(even in manual). But I've never tried it, so I guess it does work!
