Fellow forum member rab3rd was talking about his weekend and he mention The Tasting Room. Of course the name brought back some fond memories. Back on February 7, 2007 I was able to tag along with my mentor, Jordan Chan. He had a product photoshoot with the wine bar. They needed photos for their advertisement.
1. I stepped outside while Jordan discussed the photoshoot with the owner, chef, and wine pairing consultant.
2. TTR has a very intimate ambiance.
3. Wine for days
4. My mentor!
5. His tool - Canon 1D Mark II with lots of gaffer tape.
6. While Jordan was prepping the location, I borrowed his Sigma 20mm f/1.8 (Nikon mount with Canon adapter) and wondered around. This was the large party room.
7. An open area lounge.
8. First time ever playing around with a shallow DOF (f/1.8)
9. The man at work.
10. What a fun shoot. First you shoot the food and then you eat the food!
11. I was able to shoot some of the food while it was off to the side.
12.
13.
14. The chef (green shirt) and the wine paring consultant (blue shirt) getting ready for their portraits.
15. Say..."wine & cheese", please.
