[Fairly high res.; beware]

Please go easy on me as I'm pretty new to photography and I'm just getting used to the "photographic triangle"/exposure. Oh, and all advice with regard to settings and ways to improve these is welcome! These were taken with all the stuff that comes in the box of the Canon EOS T3.

you will get more people viewing your images if you actually post them instead of a link to your images. Resizing to 800pix wide is recommended also.

Dustin- If you check the forum rules you are supposed to drop the size down. He wasn't messing with you...

Once you upload if you go back to the attach paper clip and insert all you'll get some space between the images.

When you look through your viewfinder, make yourself aware of the background. A bad background can take the viewers eye away from the subject. Bright spots or "noise" can take away. Opening up (smaller f stop) can sometimes smooth out the background and actually make it add to the image... but you have to be aware of it's impact to the overall image.

Where in the rules? I didn't see that. If you wouldn't mind referring me to where it says that, I will gladly resize them and apologize to him.

Regardless, thanks for the advice on background!

Dustin - as the guys mentioned above, 3 images to critique, I'd recommend the ones which you have questions/concerns about vs the ones that are good.

Also, I'd recommend a size of 1024 on the long side for your images.

any questions, feel free to PM me.

FYI, i checked the rules for critiqueing here to confirm, there is no size limit, but the recommendation is 1024 on the long side. The reason is to be considerate of others with slower bandwidth even though we're in the 21st century, not everyone has blazing fast internet. :)

Being new to the "scene," per se, I'd like to be criticized on all of them, only to improve myself and the pictures. Are you implying that members are only allowed to post three images to be critiqued? If so, I'll take some down.

Thanks!

In that case, my apologies for not thinking about anyone but myself. I will let vBulletin resize them.

I think you'll find most people here are easy to get along with. Just relax and enjoy yourself. Everyone's just trying to help.

Now, to the rules thing... I have always thought that the limit was 800 px on the long side. Maybe it changed when Abel went to Pixtus from TPF?

I found it... it's not a "rule" it's written in the attach dialog

I understand. I apologize.

vBulletin is a very powerful script. Even if I did upload a 2000x2000px image, it would be automatically resized. In the original post, I didn't use the uploader, I use the BBCode for images which is
