Hi everyone.
Today I just wandered some pages in my photobucket account that was created several years ago . So I had a chance to see some of my first pics taken by my first camera. They made me have a little bit of emotion
At that time, I was still in my country Vietnam and the Canon Powershot G11 was my first camera as a birthday gift. My grandma and uncle bought it for me but when I came to the US, we had a conflict that broke up my family so I have not longer kept that camera. I also remember something funny about it, Vietnam is kinda poor country so that families rarely spend such a big amount of money (500$) for their children to buy an expensive camera. I knew that I was very very lucky to have a fancy one so I just tried to show it off to my friends. When my parents knew that, they didn't let me bring my camera to school anymore because they worried that it would be stolen.
These are my first photos I ever took.
#1
The Vietnamese sentence on it means "The sun is still shining in this afternoon". Actually, this sentence is a lyric of a song that inspired me to take this pic.
#2 The second one is a collection named "Couple". In these photos, I tried to capture something that always go together.
In this pic, the "U" and "I" always stand next to each other on the keyboard like U and I are always side by side
#3 Flower collection:
I took these in a New Year flower market near by my house.
Looking at these pics makes me feel that the more I know about photography, the more ugly my pics would be. I mean at that time, I did not know anything about photography element or rule or retouching by photoshop, I just naturally took whatever I was interested in and did not retouch anything But these pics even better than the pics I have taken now.
Now i am living in the US, I got a great opportunity to make money to buy any kind of camera I want but I don't know why I still want to have a Canon Powershot G11, may be it makes my pics better than the DSLRs do Hope you all enjoy it. |
