Weekend Furlough - 04-02-2005, 05:12 PM

I recently graduated to portable IV bottles, so now I only have to go to the clinic on Mon, Wed, and Fridays for bloodwork and doctor visits.

I asked my doc if I could take a drive home for the weekend, never expectiing him to agree. (You are supposed to stay close to the hospital in case of problems for the first 100 days post transplant, I am at day 54). To our surprise, he said yes!

Having a wonderful weekend at home for the first time in about 70 days total. The azaleas are really blooming this year, and I watched my daughter play softball. What a treat this has been!
