My humble attempt at still life - be kind - 04-07-2005, 09:23 PM

Here is my first attempt with some controlled lighting. I set up a white T-shirt hanging from one of my tripods onto a dinner table. Had the lights on the living room on. Used the 5803x flash on TTL direct to and then bounced a cheapo flash of the ceiling using a cheapo slave. Critiques are appreciated.

It's ... green.

Seriously, subject aside, it looks like a great lighting setup to me.. the background is non-existent and the shadow is very nice... just the kind of thing you'd want on this kind of high key product shot.

I'd say you got a lemon, but it's a lime!

I kind of like it...

A little bit of proof that you don't need all the expensive equipment to take a good shot!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

I would say you did a nice job on that one. I do like taking shots like that, it fun to see how you can control the lighting to get it to come out like you want.

Here is a little thing I made awhile back that is sure fun to play with. It is really cheap to make and easy. You can do a lot with it and I like the way you can change the backgrounds to what you like.
