Every once in a while, a group of my son's friends descend upon our house lugging their computer equipment. They manage to get all the machines networked together in order to play interactive games until the wee hours of the morning. They call it a LAN Party....I call it Geek-A-Palooza!

Great shots. I especially love the first one. I don't normally like posed shots, but the last one is really fun.

I used to do the same thing!!! I used to be very heavily involved in an on-line game called, "Tribes" and "Tribes2". Myself and a couple of my friends would organize LAN parties a couple of times a year. We would rent a local day care for the weekend, start playing on Friday night and clean up by 6 or so on Sunday evening. We would have people fly in from around the country just to spend the weekend gaming.

Here are a couple shots from one of the last ones that I was at...






As your son gets older, this is the kind of stuff you can look forward to.

BTW - this was in 2002, thus the lack of flat panels displayed. There's still about 10-15 systems in the room that are not in either of these pics.

I call it a great outlet for teenage boys to hang out in a great environment!!! Way to go Geeks!!
