and you just won't believe what happened. When I got there I found out they hadn't worked on the lights yet. There were large spots on the stage that had no light. Some of the girls stood in shadows & you could hardly even make out their facial features with your eye. UNBELIEVEABLE!!

Now, the only lenses I have are the kit, 50mm f1.8II, & 70-200mm f4L USM with my 20D. I was obviously counting on some help for the stage lights!!

Well, my heart sank, but I did try my best. This is what I came up with:

Look at that nice, pointed toe :) :

I know they are far from perfect, but they aren't too bad. I ended up shooting with 70-200m f4 L lens (ISO 1600, f4 in AV mode, tungsten WB, RAW & small jpg). They ran through their routine twice, so the 2nd time I used my 50m f1.8 II lens (f2.8 to 3.5, otherwise same settings). Here's a pic with that lens (cropped, of course):

I wasn't going to take my camera to the final performance on Friday, but since the lighting was so bad, I think I will try again. The L lens will be too big, so I plan on just taking the 50mm on the camera. If anyone has any comments/suggestions that might even improve on the pictures I've got, please let me know.

Thanks!
