Just out minding my own business at the skatepark like I always do on my days off.

Not sure on the kids condition, He ran into another kid going pretty fast and hit his nogin hard, his eyes were rolling back in his head. One of the older adults told me after they flew him off that he may of had serious head trauma and a broken vertibre in his neck.

No he wasn't, Darwinism always succeeds sooner or later.

May not have helped the neck but it sure would have helped with the head trauma

Understandable. Going up there tomorrow, his friends are usually up there, so I can get an update on his status.

I like the belly of the copter.

They were not bagging him, so that is a good sign.

Bummer for him. I fractured three vertebrae in a high diving accident when I was 18. Walked into the hospital. The next six months were not fun.

Yea for sure, lucky guy, they were going about as fast as you could go on a skateboard on flat land when they hit. They were at about a 65 degree angle, the other kid just bounced off of him and landed on his butt, but this guy landed straight on his noggin.

I hope everything comes out ok for him - serious stuff. BTW, nice shots.

I didn't know they still had skate parks. I remember the good ol days at Solid Surf down in Houston a couple of decades ago. Nothing like coming come with hamburger feet after a day of skateboarding bare foot

haha yea, another scary thing was this guy had no ID on him at all, and he wasn't talking when we were booted outside of the park, to give the medics some room.

OK, thanks -- I'd mis-read the Chronicle article. I wasn't sure where Zac took his shots. The other accident was near Hunt/San Antonio.

Yes, Kar is correct, this was in Allen. Tragic that so many kiddos are getting hurt for not wearing a helmet.
