I take it you didn't run into resistance at Cabelas regarding your camera ??
I was under the impression that they did not allow photography inside the store.

Don't know about Cabela's, but I asked at the Bass Pro Shop here in San Antonio and was told no problem, bring the cameras.

I've never been challenged at Cabellas...of course, I've never setup a tripod...LOL
I love the way this turned out, Z-Ghost! Clone out that little bit of retail store on the left top, and it would be hard to see it was staged (except that if it were me, I wouldn't have the nerve to keep focus as I was about to get trampled! LOL)

I am liking the shot, but the blur on the foreground is distracing my eye. I am wondering if it would have more impact to have the prey in sharp focus and the predator with a little blur.
Good shot though and Cabelas is an awsome place. I did not know they would let you take cameras in.

Thanks all.
I called and asked them if it would be OK if I brought my camera and took pictures and I was told that it would be OK.
I had my 20D and 16x35 L lens and no one said anything to me about it when I walked in, I did not have the flash with me and no tripod.
I spent 20 minutes talking to the salesman about the Gatling gun and even took a few pictures of it and he never said a thing.
Maybe they thought that I was suposed to be there taking pictures or something, I did just walk right in and never looked back.

I was going for the "Yeah I will get the picture but will die by Caribou" feeling.

You had me fooled!!!!
Seriously though, I like the picture...I've never thought to take my camera over there (2.5 minutes from my house) great idea!

I've asked a sales dude in there before about taking photos and was given the all-clear, so I could snag one of the Piper Cub hanging from the ceiling.

I had fun and it's a great way to spend a few hours taking pictures inside.
One thing you do not want to go on a Saturday when they are having some event there, the crowds are a picture killer.
