Car + Boat = Amphicar

Hi everyone. Today, I was originally going to go to the Chevy Spectacular races in Ennis but I'm running a little low on funds and couldn't go. So me and my girlfriend decided to go to Lake Arlington. When we got there, I noticed an amphicar(amphicar.com) in the parking lot and thought it was cool. So I started to walk a little further and saw a few of them out in the lake. I was taking a few pictures and one driver asked if we wanted to go for a ride. Sure! I'm not turning down a chance to ride in one. It was a blast to ride in them on the lake. Channel 5 even came out and video taped a few of them in action(not sure if it was on the news or not). Anyways, I thought I would pass the pictures along. It's not every day that you get to see one, let alone ride in one too.

That's cool. I take it that the fourth one was shot from inside the car? It's the only one close to water level.

Yeah. When I was in the car, I was a little hesitant about having the camera out for fear of water screwing up the electronics if water hit it but when I saw one of the other cars pass by, I had to get a shot to emphasize the location where we were. If anyone gets the chance to talk to an owner or ride one don't pass it up. It was a blast! :D
