Pate Museum with some new post processing - 07-21-2007, 10:21 PM

Got a tip from a thread about crazy PP, evil4blues suggested a new PP style that I wanted to give a shot. Duplicated layers with unsharp mask 60/54/4 then desaturated and merged. These are shot with natural light with my new Nikkor 50mm 1.8 hand held. Loving that lens! C&C always welcome. PS, Threw in the shot of my son smelling the flowers, to lazy to start a new thread for one shot! It was on the way back from Cresson though, lol!Name: bwjag.jpg

I like the pp Chris. Like the angle and exposure on the prop too. Fourth hood ornament is my favorite on the hood ornaments.

Nice shots and I like the PP. The B&W jag looks great. I like the 1st hood ornament and the surprises with the colors. I tried cropping a bit from the bottom and a skosh from the right side with my monitor edges and liked that variation. The 4th one is great too. My only complaint is that I find the bright section along the left edge distracting.

Nice looking young man you have in the last shot.

I'm new to the area but I recognize Cresson as the location of the Motorsports Ranch. Is this museum there?

Thanks Dustin! I don't know what use to be there, but there was a few cool big planes and some other interesting stuff along with a old cranky attendent! He is ok after you get through his tough guy attitude.
