After having his Elizabethan collar removed (he hated it soo much!), the first thing he did was roll in the grass. He was so happy. Me too. ...Bob

Janet, he had a luxating patella... or a loose kneecap. He was in the collar for 2 weeks. Pretty common surgery I have been told. Don't worry, life wil be good for your puppy. Show us a picture. ...Bob

well, we are back home from the vet - and she's back to normal although extremely thin!! and the poor starved doggie can only have ice cubes tonite. tomorrow she gets some healthy choice chicken and rice soup, 1 can split 3 times a day with some kind of digestive enzyme - does that for 3 days, then rice for 3 days, adding her food back into the rice on the 3rd day - then normal diet.!!

woohoo!

our black pug had that luxating patella thing when she was a puppy, but seemed to grow out of it. she's a devil dog! when she was 2 - she was running full force down the house, and slid into a desk leg - almost broke her leg - and now she runs funny ever since. it's weird, but i think if she ran normally, her leg would still bother her.

you can check out My site - hit refresh and you get a new picture of the doggies each time. the one that was in the vet is the fawn colored put - the other one is the devil incarnate - and the fluffly white one is my daughter's dog i'm keeping till next june!!! can't wait, i love her but...

how much did that surgery cost - i'm curious

Janet, the operation cost $490.00. That included post surgical visit at 14 days. I was expecting it to be anywhere from $1,000 to $1500. He seems to be progressing nicely but still favors the leg.

No poop Therese just grass.
