Sick Still Life

Sick Still Life - 07-04-2005, 10:10 PM


Been sick for the past week. Worked on some still life while trapped indoors. Let me knowwhat you think these are some of my first attempts at still life.

I liked the tomato, but for everything else the lighting is so... diffuse (?) that there really isn't any contrast or anything between the subject and background. I tend to prefer more dramatic lighting for still life, it seems to add depth instead of making everything look so flat. I also might not know what I'm talking about. Looks pretty good. :)

Now that I look at them I can see what you mean about needing more depth and contrast. Keep in mind though that these were all taken with the available light coming from a kitchen window.
