Wow.....my son turned 12 and is having a party tonight (pray for me...I can't seem to drink enough to make the noise go away...and it is only 10:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!) this was the photo...I'm not sure I like either one, but...it doesn't even include my phone, or my other two kids' phones.....

Who would have ever thought this 10 years ago????

I've been in the cellular phone industry for 20 years and I'm still amazed that we have phones for our 10-12 year old kids. But...mine had them too. My kids are 20 and 16, they have never known a world without cell phones. At any given time, I've always had two or three portables or installed phones or whatever. That's all they have ever known.
Not to mention how fast they can text. I'm amazed.

back when I was selling phones I actually set up a line for a 2 yr old to use. All she could do is carry it in her bag in case of an emergency. And this was 6 years ago lol

Well I'm glad to hear other parents' views. I sent this photo to a friend who does not have kids. He jumped all over me for letting my kids have cell phones. He commented about how we were both riased the same way and if we just planned what we were doing the day before we wouldn't need a cell phone. I thought that was an interesting point of view!! Guess he has never had to wonder if his kid was ok at the bus stop, walking to or from school, at the park etc.
