Abstract Glass - 04-29-2008, 10:49 PM

Last summer we visited the Blenko Glass Co while we were up in WV. I took some photos of their scrap piles just because I liked the mixed colors of all the glass.. Well of course they just looked like junk glass when I got home and looked at them.

but I really liked the colors!

So I played around and ended up running the cutout filter on it and then the midnight gold action and came up with a print I absolutely love!!!

I'm having it printed in a 20x30 and then cut into 6 10x10's to be framed in white plain frames (kinda mimicked the framing in the attached print). In fact I have re-designed our bedroom around the colors in it. Our walls are now a dark "chocolate indulgence" with the trim in white.. and our bedspread is varing size stripes of different colors of blue and white.

I hate decorating and this is the first room the b/f has "made" me do (he had the whole house already painted and decorated before I met him). I'm actually kind of excited at how this print I took became the "inspiration' for the room...

I like it. Very interesting to look at. I bet it looks great on the wall.
