Trip to Charlie, TX - 07-18-2008, 02:24 AM

Took a friend to Charlie, TX today to buy fruit and veggies. Shot a few pics along the way. This filly was enjoying the Scratchin post, the Watermelon Guard dog was on duty, Yummy peaches, and a Country Church. The barbed wire was shot with the 70-200 2.8L with three ext tubes attached.

Thanks Angel. Right after I got this shot he took a nap! Found the church on the way back to Wichita Falls.

I have a thing for barbed wire shots. I just like'em! I used the 2.8 70-200mm and attached all three ext tubes. That's as close as I could get.

Thanks for looking Carl. Yep, this guy was a tough one! He was sleeping when we drove up. He woke up long enough for me to get his shot then continued his nap. Got that too, but I liked this one better.

What memories you brought back. I can't count how many trips I have made from WF to Charley for peaches & pecans! Great shots. Thanks for sharing!

Actually this was my first trip to Charlie. A friend was watching channel 3 news and Joe Brown was talking about the peaches out there. She called and ask me to go. We went to Young's Orchard. We bought some delicious peaches and talked "cameras" with the owner, Steve Young. It was a good day.

I'll go back! Lots of photo opps, nice people, and fresh fruits and veggies.

Great shots, good combos. Love the horse and his stump...lol. And Im leaning toward the peach one cause I am just a peach person, well fresh fruit in general.

My family lived in Charlie for a while when my mom was little.
