Testing the 27" Beauty Dish. Didn't meter at all; handheld test shots-soc except sharpening:

Here's a link to the eBay store with the info:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Softlite-Radar-D...QQcmdZViewItem

It's heavy was my first impression. Then it reminded me of how I felt when first unpacked my first Bowens light - it felt like a heft of quality. This dish feels like a quality piece of equipment, the finish is very nice, the grid is nice and fits into the reflector very well. For a knockoff I'm sold.

It gets the job done quite well though. Bowens doesn't have a normal sized beauty dish (22") nor does their 15" dish have a full grid designed for it. I was trying to come up with a way to make my own (B&H sells the Bowens mounts) or take a gamble on the eBay unit. For $200 I'll take the eBay unit anyday.

Sorry the edited link above should work better. The seller sells the beauty dish as a radar reflector (different name, same product), I believe they're only made to fit Bowens/Camulet S-mounts.

Buy a cheap elinchrom reflector or such and DIY mount it to this behemoth.
