Isn't that an annual event. A few years back the only way in or out was by boat and it lasted over two weeks. Locals are used to it.

The past 2-3 weeks may be different. Our little lake filled up last Sunday and water ran over the emergency spillway. First time ever-30+ year history. It rained again today in the Caddo watershed.

I live on the river a few miles above the lake. It is not uncommon for the low areas to flood, but the water has not been this high at Long’s Camp, where I live, for about ten years. I also have not seen it out of the banks at the Hwy 43 bridge in that time as well.

The State Park is just below the 43 Bridge so I am sure it is. The boat ramp and Mill Pond, along with the camp ground around Mill Pond is most likely under several feet of water.

Funny story, almost 22 yrs ago we tried to arrange our marriage down there, in that little church in Uncertain. The only # my wife could find was for the VFD. Every time she called the would answer but were unable to hear her and kept asking if there was a fire. She gave up and we ended up getting married by George Straight......no not that one.
