Building up another bike - 05-09-2009, 09:37 PM

The frame arrived from Italy last week, straight from the original Tommasini factory outside of Milan, where it is hand built and painted.
So I through it under the studio lights and snapped a few pics.
I bought some red Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels (only $200 shipped from the UK) for it but other than I have no parts for it yet. Will be buying a little at a time. I love building up bikes. And what I love even more is traditional lugged steel frames.
In person, the paint job is amazing. The red and blue are metallic and light up in the sun... the studio lights don't capture that.

Very nice. Reminds me of the Pinarello Stelvio I rode for a few years before I swapped it for a Ti frame.

Great photos of an amazing bike. Can't wait to see it built up. Steel is real.

That's an attention-getter! The paint job is beautiful, but that fork is a piece of art.

Like a lot of things, I miss lugs. I love my current bike, but it doesn't have lugs.

Enjoy!

Here is the thread about it:

I know nothing about bikes, and this one impresses me!
