Sandisk CF UDMA Rebate Deal 8GB - 06-22-2009, 06:28 PM

**EXPIRED edited on 7.1.09**

I just ordered three Sandisk 8GB Extreme IV UDMA CF cards from B&H. The have a rebate going that if you purchase three of the 8GB or 16GB cards, you get a $200 rebate. I chose the 8GB because they are $114 each as opposed to the higher priced 16GB; however, the amount rebated is the same, so your cost per GB is much less ($5.92/GB vs. $8.58/GB). The links are below. You have to submit all credentials by July 13th.

Did some calculations...

3x $114.00

sub-total - $314
tax - $0.00
Shipping - $5.95 ground

TOTAL - $347.95

after rebate = $147.95 ($49.32 / ea.)

Did all this because I'm going to do it. :)

That's what the bill came out to.

I'm quite happy with the speed i got it out Sandisk EXtreme III 30mb/s, capable of buffering about 21-23 Raw continue shots in sequence. So i'm getting another 16GB, retiring the 8GB, but an UDMA-enabled unit this time. According to Rob's 5dm2 CF data bank-- Transcend 300x, Lexar Pro and Sandisk Extreme IV are neck to neck in speed, just a hair line in diff.

I'm leaning toward Transcend UDMA 300X right now, about $140 without the bloody rebate. Anyone has any experience with Transcend pro series CF card?
