I have used Ultimate for a while with no issues but thought I would try an elite when fryes had the 8bg on sale for like $12 after rebate...it was waste of money. I was on a shoot and shot about 30 frames and when I went to look at some there was a big question mark on my lcd. I lost about 95% of the shots. Shortly after I got errors on my mkIII and had to ship it back to canon. I thought the problem was my camera so I took it on another shoot, this time I checked right after I shot and it seemed ok but shortly after got more question marks. I called kingston and they said they would replace, I asked if I could upgrade to ultimate and they said they would and passed me on to the sales team that wanted to charge me $100 to upgrade! I was like, I can one brand new for a lot less than that but they wouldn't negotiate with me...so I said I would RMA it. I shipped it out and about 2 weeks later I got a call that said they received my package with nothing in it and they were going to ship back my packaging. I got it back and someone used a letter opener and cut through two layers of envelopes and removed it...I am guessing someone from Kingston's mail room! I got a call a week later asking how my experience with my return was...I let them have it and was told they would have someone call me back but I still have not heard anything. Needless to say I went back to Lexar Pro and will not be purchasing anymore Kingston certainly nothing less than the Ultimate... |
