Saw this on SD, and on POTN, thought I'd post it here.
It's a free download of portrait professional 6. The website is in German, but enter your email in the space provided, and they send you a code. You also go to the other link to download the program and enter the code.
Some have trouble receiving the email, but try different addresses and check your spam boxes. (I registered my comcast email and got nothing, but it sent immediately to my business email address)

People say it's great. I have yet to see a Mac version though.

Interesting that even their trial download for version 9 says, "You can use this to enhance as many images as you like with no obligation to purchase". Quite the unusual business practice.

The catch is that you can't actually save any of the images you create until you buy it. It's worth it, though. I use it all the time.

After reading your post, I installed the program and processed an image. When you start it, you get a message letting you know that this is a special free version, that a better version is out (v.9) and that you can get the better version for the upgrade price. I just clicked 'Continue' and entered what looked like a full version 6. It did allow me to save the image I processed.

I think the difference here from the trial version is that an activation key is supplied. The 'catch' is that you are prompted to upgrade every time you start. I think their hope is that you'll like the program enough to want the latest version. Based on the one image I processed, the program supplied works as advertised.
