Sounded too good to be true and it was. The seller claims he was scammed by his Chinese supplier and that he is willing to help me get my money back. The tracking number he provided was actually from the shippment from China to him, he never shipped anything. I already filed a claim with paypal and I am trying to get me money back. I know I should have listened to you guys. From now on I will only deal in person or from reputable suppliers like B&H.

And sorry!

And Quickly ... very time sensitive issue.

I don't ever spend any more than a $100 bucks on something past the US ...

Sorry for your luck.

Hopefully PayPal will help you out ... you did do all of your PMs with that person over Ebay right?? Because that will help PayPal speed up your process.

WoW!!! What a BUMMER!!!! I was very close to doing something like this. Kept writing the person to try to establish a dialog...seemed legit. Finally decided it just couldn't be. But I was sure close to believing it.

If you paid via credit card through paypal, I'd file a claim immediately with the CC, for me paypal has been slow to take action.

My experience with paypal has not been great and they will charge you a fee as I remember. I wish you the best of luck.

I'm with everyone else who's suggested reporting to the CC company. That was fraud and they should run a charge back.

This is why I don't buy on Ebay. I'm just curious how does this seller get a 100% Feedback? Certainly this isn't his first time doing something like this. He obviously was working as a Broker.

Actually he was scammed. He sent me copies of all the paperwork and he even filed a complaint with the FBI. Also he helped me with paypal getting reimbursed. I hope he gets his money back. He did misled me because he claimed he had the camera in California when he was planing on having it delivered there and then send it to me.

I got my D300 mint on eBay for $1,100 (after $100 eBay coupon) from a D700 upgrader. No problems at all. Turns out the seller was a cop!
