FreeAgent Desk 1.5TB $70 - 12-24-2010, 12:38 AM

Was looking at some external USB HDDs at WalMart and noticed that, while the 1TB and 2TB FreeAgent Desk were in the locked cabinet with shelf tags over $100, the 1.5TB was on another shelf outside the cabinet with no price tag. Scanned it, and it was $70 even. Your WalMart may vary, but it's worth a look.

Found this a few days ago. Picked up two (using a buddies' employee discount to boot).

I couldn't find the 1.5s. Not even a spot for them. Is the drive something that only some walmarts have?

Might be, but in the local store, they were across the aisle from the "drive and memory cage" just sitting out on a shelf next to some clearance items.

IIRC, they didn't even have the cable-and-puck anti-theft thing that most of the loose electronics get.
