Sorry you ran into a poor informed customer service rep... I had no link, just a similar posting on the POTN forum and called Adobe this morning, spoke with csr and gave her the discount code and she sold the LR3 for 99 plus tax and 6bux shipping.

Wow that's not cool. I called up and talked with a nice gentleman and he didn't give me any problems. Offered an upgrade to CS5 for $200 but I said no thanks :)
Ended up being like $113 shipped/tax for LR3. Good deal. Thanks for the heads up.

I have been a long time user of ACDsee. I am on Pro 3, 2009. I know these programs leapfrog each other. Has anybody done a comparison of the two lately?

I don't use raw, so, I need the best culling program. I prefer that ACDSee allows a comparison of 4 images, with zoom control. Bridge allows 9 images, but you can't zoom in on the comparison images. What about light room?

What are the licensing and functional differences between student and full edition? Any reason NOT to get the student version if you qualify?
