Best Buy's HUGE Nikon sale

This is a ridiculous sale, if it were the end of the summer, when I had some free money, I'd be completely broke, sitting on top of a pile of glass.

Best buy also had the Canon 5d2 advertised for $2123.99 but I couldn't actually buy it. No matter what store I picked it was OOS and no shipping options. I'd like to know if anyone can get this Nikon deal.

There are 2 Ft. Worth stores showing stock of the D7000, the Quebec St (Lake Worth) store about 20 minutes northwest of downtown, and the Hulen store about 15 minutes southwest of downtown.

As far as lenses that I would care about: The 80-200 f/2.8 and 85mm f/1.8 are sold out. The 85mm DX micro is sold out of stores, but available for shipping. The 17-55 is free ship to store. For $460, I'd be tempted to replace my 55-200 VR with a 70-300 VR for daytime shooting; it's available for shipping.

Unfortunately, slickdeals and fatwallet are both VERY popular deals websites. "The slickdeals effect" of a good-priced item quickly going out of stock, or of a website crashing from the increase traffic, is nothing new. Good luck, hope you are able to get in on something useful to you.

I wonder if they will restock any of these lenses at this price? Is this a trend we will see across the Nikon inventory at other stores?

Highly unlikely - I think Best Buy was just discontinuing a bunch of lenses.

By the way, for anyone reading this for the first time, the vast majority of the lenses are sold out.

I know the Canon lens went back to regular price. Shoulda pulled the trigger esp with 18 months no interest
