Sandisk HUGE memory card sales - 05-31-2011, 07:55 PM

I picked up a pair of 16gb Ultra 13 days ago for 127$, and now it's HALF OFF :( . So I'm picking up another pair. Looks like I'll be set for a long time.

One thing with the new 16GB ultra is when you format with original 5D, it'll read as 8GB for some reason. If you format with 5dmk2 or newer camera, and then put it in the 5d, it'll read as 16gb. So it's something I notice on the new cards.

I saw a 128gb CF card on there. That is bigger then my hard drive on my computer.

Can not imagine filling a card up with photos. Guess you would if you shot a lot of video.

too bad those 16GB extreme pro cards are not 2 for 1. i can't handle those slower CF cards on a 7D or 1D3 at full burst speed. good deal if you don't need the faster cards.

5D mark II RAW files at 28MB each can add up real quick.

My laptop broke in my move to DFW, so I am having to resort to an "older" computer for the time being. No 5.25' floppy drive but its got a 3.5 floppy LOL.
Works great for surfing the internet, not so great for games or photo editing. Got my eye on a macbook pro - just gotta save a few more pennies.

Where did you buy from? Maybe they are making that mistake for every order.
