Bargain Price: AAA Eneloops - 09-22-2011, 04:34 PM

Simply the best NIMH battery you can buy.

Excellent price at B&H...

Sanyo Eneloop AAA Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries SEC-HR4U4BPN B&H

$6 for a 4 pack is about 45% off of regular price. I just ordered 10. Not sure if they are clearancing these out, or what.

Wonder which version of the Eneloops.
They just introduced some new Eneloops that are supposed to have something in them to aid in heat dissipation. (not the high power XX version).

They are probably old, but that is just fine.

Sonny, these are Aaa, this normal. Eneloops last forever anyway.

Keith, if they aren't eneloops, send them back. I teach HS photography and buy hundreds of these. To save a few bucks, I've tried the others...they are not the same.

The Imedions are the PowerEx version of the Eneloops. Same tech, tad higher power rating. I have been using them. I may still get a set of these for spares.

A while back Adorama had the AA 4 pack of Sony CycleEnergy 2000mAh batteries, which are just Eneloop rebadges, for something like $5/pack. I stocked up and bought 8 packs or something. They have been great.

Ymmv. I guess I should state in what capacity I am considering these batteries for duty. I have got probably 500+ eneloops, only 1 has failed. In contrast, almost every one of the rebranded, or off branded LSDs has failed to perform in a pentak k100d. They still work, but they do not hold a charge as long in the drawer to power a dslr. The k100d uses 4 AAs and is very very picky about the battery. The eneloop has proven to be one of the only batteries that will power up the camera expecting 6v. And, it does it for a long time. A student will complain that the camera says it is half dead. I tell them to keep shooting until it us dead and sometea that set will last all day.

All of the non envelops have had to be retaaked as non-dslr uses.
