Looks like a really good price.

But is it prudent to buy MORE memory just to have a few more cards? I mean, I guess what I am asking is, should I be rotating out some of my older memory cards?

IMHO, it would be a good idea to retire some of the older cards.

I have been retiring cards to my IR A100 or the wife's digital photo frame.

I guess another question is where will be in say another 6 months?

I have been surprised at the stability of memory prices. For a while, it was in a free fall. Think about how much we paid for 8gb 2 years ago. But it has been stable for a while now.

Have we seen another swing in lows in existing memory and new larger capacities dropping?

My 1GB Extreme III was $80+ when I bought it with my 4GB 133x clocking in at $180. Of course that was 2006.

From what I've found, the differences in 400x and 600x speeds is negligable (and I stress these cards out a lot!). This is a really good deal.

Thanks!!

I literally paid $55 for this item from adorama a week ago. I wonder if they'll honor the reduced price.

This was my first and last purchase from Adorama. Called today to check on my order and had to go through a 4 step automated system. Ok, I need the order number or a phone number. Well I never herd anything after the order was placed (even checked spam) so I didn't have an order number and wasn't sure which phone number I used, so the automated system did not help. As you may guess there is no option to speak to someone.

So I figure if you want to buy something there would be a live person. Sure enough a live person. So I told them I had a problem checking on an order and asked if they can help. THREE TIMES, I was dumped back into the looping automated system. Finally, (the poor guy) on the fourth try I was helped and told it was on back order, and it took him less then 1 minute to check all three phone numbers.

Glad this was just a couple of cards and not something important.

I have made many purchases through Adorama. They have always been a standup company.
With a company as large as that (as many customers as they have), they are bound to sell out of something that's on sale like that.
