Confucius Statue - 09-28-2009, 12:35 PM

I saw this on the NEWS and thought that it maybe something to see and photography.

Photo taken on Sept. 26, 2009 (not by me) shows the Great Confucius Statue at Hermann Park in downtown Houston, the United States. A dedication ceremony was held Saturday at Hermann Park in downtown Houston to mark the erection of the statue in the park, jointly donated by the China's Consulate General in Houston and the local Chinese community to commemorate the 2,560th anniversary of the birth of Confucius, the ancient Chinese thinker.(Xinhua/Chen Ruwei)

Does anyone know what part of the park the statue is in?

Mike, if I heard the reporter correctly she said that it was located in the Sculpture Garden behind the Museum of Natural Science, but I would check with the City’s Parks Department first before I made a trip out there.

If I had to guess, I would agree. Looks like a street behind it, like Main, Montrose, or San Jacinto.

I can't wait to put a bouquet in his hand, and have the bride stand on one side and the groom on the other...
