Abandoned buildings near Spring or The Woodlands - 10-06-2009, 10:00 PM

I've got a model wanting to do an edgy shoot in the Spring or Woodlands area. Does anyone know of an abandoned building or old machinery in that area?

Thanks

Tomball has a rural museum with outdoor displays:

A mile or so away is the train depot museum:

Depending on what "edgy" means in your case, the outfit style may not be compatable.

As far as the Woodlands, I don't think anything that's old or abandoned is allowed to exist.

Spring? The Woodlands? Edgy?????????????????????

Wander around Old Town Spring. There are some old backdrops and maybe some old machinery. Not sure if it qualifies as edgy.

An old cemetery in Montgomery one block west of the intersection of Hwys. 149 & 105. On the NW corner.

Closed car dealerships are interesting.

I didn't make it out to Montgomery today, but I did find a couple of interesting locations I'll probably be using on the model shoot.

Any other ideas would be great!

Abadoned kennel? Interesting. The empty building is cool. There is a new/never occupied building at 1960 & 290. Next door to the new Staples. Exterior stairs allow you access to the second floor. No interior walls-shoot through the building-and glass all around the exterior. It's a safe area too. Lots of parking in the rear. Nobody to hassle you.

Sounds like you've found your building, but if not, there is an unfinished strip center across from the Kroger at Spring Cypress and Champion Forest (Right next to the Gleanloch subdivision). It is an empty concrete building with no doors or windows--it's like construction everyone working on it went home one day and never came back. We've lived here seven years and I've never seen anyone working on it.

Wayne & Ken, those both sound like locations I need to check out, even though they're not quite in the area I'll be shooting. I'll have to plan a little trip that direction.

Thanks,
Jerry
