Or a country scene at least.

Yes, i searched - everything i found was old. This is what i found - can anyone update me?

Armand Bayou? I emailed them to see if a photoshoot (e-session) was allowed there, but have not heard back yet. Does anyone know?

And then post 2 here also:

And then i googled and googled that and found this:
Out Under the Trees | Facebook

Seems very photographer friendly - but i cant find much else info about it as far as just freely showing up or what not.

AND - i have access to this location as a last resort :

Armand Bayou nature center is fine, just pay the per-head entry fee (it's cheap and goes to a good cause anyway). Somtimes the barn is open, sometimes not.

Last time I brought a senior out it wasn't open, but when it is, its usually stocked with hay, but you can access the loft (ladder) and it makes for good shots. Blog post with images: Sneaks: Keri, Class of2010! - Blog - Daniel Wang Photography

In case anyone else is wondering - out under the trees is $25 to shoot there for like an hour. AND Armand Bayou Nature Center said no shooting in the barn allowed, but just like Daniel said, you just pay the per head fee and you can shoot anywhere else as long as you dont interfere with other folks.

Good idea. The place is usually fairly empty, especially during the week. You also get other buildings to use as backdrops, and farm machinery.

Loved the look of Armand Bayou. Wonder if they would let you shoot on the grounds before operating hours if you payed.

Also wonder how conservative they are because I have a glam project I'd like to shoot there. Anyone have any ideas?

I posted a thread about Kleb Woods back in September after shooting this preview gallery:

RP_Photo - Kleb Woods

The park was well-staffed and seemed proud of their place in a way that might not bode well for model shooters, and some others agreed with my assessment.

My advice is to visit any new location alone and take test images while being alert for "vibes" and reactions from others. If all seems OK, make sure the first model shoot is conservative and done using simpler gear.

Thanks for the link Richard. Actually did my shoot at Armand Bayou 2 weeks back.

Emailed them and sent them story board drawings of my concept shoot and details of what was involved. They ok'd it and I arrived there early to not interfere with the general public as they normally arrive later in the afternoon.

Photos will be posted on Jan 30th from shoot ;)
