Cypress or Katy area photo locations - 02-11-2010, 09:43 AM

Hello,

I am looking for a good location for a family session in the Cypress or Katy area.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not familiar with the area.

Thanks so much!

For traditional-type images, Terry Hershey Park is the first place that comes to mind.

If you are in Montgomery, you have good locations in your backyard. I drive from Cypress to Montgomery with my cameras.

What type of setting are you looking for? I live in Katy and may be able to help?

Thanks so much! We just moved here from Indiana in August so I'm still trying to find new places. Any other places around that area you would recommend?

Modern = La Centerra or The Villagio shopping centers
Rustic/Urban = Old Katy
Flowery = Any of the Cinco Ranch lakes and parks west of 99 off Fry rd or Cinco Ranch rd
Also check out Herritage Park for old houses, gazebos and fences.

Heritage Park is one of my favorite places. Go into old Katy (Hwy 90) and follow to Ave D and take a right. Go down a ways and look for VFW Park on the left hand side (the Road is George Bush Rd.) and it is right there.
