Does anyone know of an old, cool looking store that I could shoot in?
Maybe something like vintage clothing, retro anything or antiques?

I'm always looking for something different.

Thanks,
Gene

I feel your pain! A fan of Texana and old buildings generally, I am always looking for the same places as you. Even in the Heights or Washington Avenue those are hard to find and almost extinct.

In Houston, they generally knock down buildings like that--except for those in areas you wouldn't want to go without a small contingent of Marines. You might find some replicas, though. Try Uptown Park near the Galleria or a new development called City Centre on the site that was once Town & Country Mall. Neither of these are vintage or retro, but they're full of chic!

For actual old stores plus some gallery converts, try Fayetteville. Increasingly these days, it seems that only the arty towns are surviving.
