Question I need ideas-Family portrait of 30 in Clear Lake Area - 06-01-2010, 08:12 PM

I have just been contacted to do a family portrait of 30 people. I am in the Cypress area and they are located in Clear Lake-Friendswood-Pearland-Clear Creek area.

I have no idea what is out in that area and where would be a good location for a family portrait that large.

Does anyone have and location ideas for a traditional or rustic style....And maybe a location with large stairs to do such a large family portrait on?

I would love to hear all your ideas because I am at a loss. :(

Thank you all so much!

Friendswood has great parks, the Parks and Rec website lists almost all of them!

I did not ever find anything that was my style there. It's hard to find someone when you don't live in the area! :(

Rocket Park at JSC. There is a slight incline that may help. =)

Not really rustic...maybe more rusty, although they did refurb the rockets.

Maybe Bay Area Park on Bay Area Blvd.. I was thinking you can position them either around the pond or you can take a shot over by the playground.
There's plenty of nice trees and the park is maintained very well located next to Armand Bayou. There's plenty of parking for a big group like this. I was going to suggest Kemah Boardwalk but that would be a traffic nightmare and it will be hard to get everyone to park in the same area and stay together.

how about Texas City Dike, but not the actual dike, it has a park right there before you go on to the dike. Also the leeve there can offer a few great backgrounds for you shots. Just my idea.

I know Bay Park. If you decide to go there evening light is your best.

Have you been to Helen's Garden in League City? That whole area is good for pictures.
