Old and new bridges in George Bush Park - 06-06-2010, 02:19 PM


Last Friday I parked at the back end of Fun Fair Positive Soccer which is at the far west side of the reservoir near Fry and Westheimer Parkway.

I came across what I first thought was an old railroad bridge with great shoot potential:





I later concluded that it was more likely an old vehicle bridge.



There is a pair of new bridges on the way there as well:





This sign is what got me thinking that it might have been an RR bridge:

Hey, Richard, I make it a point to walk the length of the hike/bike path that runs from the NE corner of the George Bush park to the far western edge (near where those 2 newer foot bridges are) - - whether I need it or not. If you are ever interested in striking out away from the paths & bridges and seeing & shooting what else there is, let me know and we can meet there. It's not great but it has some moderately interesting places...
