Are there any good outdoor locales in the area?! I've driven around so many times looking, but clearly I'm looking in the wrong places.

I'm looking for something urban, woodsy & open, or something more closed in with pockets of greenry/floral.

What about lake-y areas and bridges?

I hate how the woodlands has so many amazing locales and this area just seems so BLAH!!

And please, don't suggest Helen's garden. That place is so cliche' and I can't stand shooting there - in fact, I pretty much refuse to.

Wanting something better - different!!

THANKS!
Sarah

I haven't been able to find anything like what you are describing. I live in Pearland to so I usually take my clients to either downtown Houston, Galveston, or this park on FM518 about 1-2 miles east of I-45. If you do find something, please share. Maybe a group of us in Pearland/Friendswood can get together and do some urban exploring. I am sure we can find something.

With the way you described it, BBSP is the closest I can think of, although that's not Pearland/Friendswood area anymore.

There are some pockets of greenery inside Tom Bass Park near Cullen Ave and the Beltway 8 close to SH 288 in Pearland.

And if you are brave enough some subdivisions do have some awesome water backdrops like the one here inside ours, the Shadow Creek Ranch.

What about Heritage Park in League City? We went there geocaching and it's got lots of nicely wooded areas, and the pond. GC19NX3 Longhorn (Traditional Cache) in Texas, United States created by Thot & Dick
